Sheriff

With the resignation of Sheriff Clint Hammonds, the Commissioner's Court of Mills County appointed an interim sheriff on December 1, 2023. The interim sheriff is Anthony Pool, he will fulfill the remainder of Sheriff Hammonds term. Sheriff Pool will execute the duties of sheriff of Mills County to the best of his ability and do what is right for the citizen's of Mills County. We wish him well in his new endeavor.

System maintenance

The Mills County Sheriff Dept phones could possibily be out of service from 9:00am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 17,2022 for system maintenance. 911 will not be affected.

Employment

The Mills County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Night Shift Jailer/Dispatcher. Applicant must be 18 years old or older and have a High School Diploma or GED. Applications can be obtained at the Sheriff's Office or this website.

COUNTY COURT

On March 29, 2022 a jury found William Williams guilty of Driving While Intoxicated/Alcohol Concentration 0.15 nor more/With Prior Conviction and Unlawful Carrying Weapon. He was sentenced 1 year in county jail but sentence was suspended for 24 months with condition of 30 days in county jail to be served on weekends.

April 6, 2022

Guerchon Kousmha plead guilty to a charge of Driving While License Invalid and received 30 days unsupervised deferred adjudication probation.

Leona Gonzales received 60 days unsupervised pre-trial diversion on a charge of Possession of Marijuana <2oz.

Cameron Martinez plead guilty to a charge of Possession of Marijuana <2oz and received deferred adjudication probation for 12 months and a charge of Possession of a Dangerous Drug was dismissed.

Jakob Miller plead guilty to a charge of Possession of Marijuana <2oz and received a pre-trial diversion with 60 days unsupervised probation.

Earl Covington received 60 days unsupervised deferred adjudication probation on a charge of Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle (Leaving scene of accident).

Marshal Smith received 60 days unsupervised deferred adjudication probation with pre-trial diversion on a charge of Possession of Marijuana <2oz.

Cranger Harris plead guilty to a charge of Driving While Intoxicated and received 12 months deferred adjudication probation.

 

DISTRICT COURT

On 03/16/2022 Keith Boykin was sentenced in District Court to 5 years TDC for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

On 032/04/2022 Charges were dismissed on Joel Miller, Erin Walton and Jacob Aguirre with charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2. The excuse as given by the District Attorney’s office was that they understand the DPS Lab cant test these substances.

On 03/01/2022 Deputies Kaleb Hopson and Son Drake responded to a vehicle accident. During the investigation 18-year-old Brayden Wray was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was later released on $350 bond.

On 03/02/2022 Deputies Justin Guimbellot and Zach Sandlin responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance. During the investigation 35-year-old Lacy Barrera was arrested for Public Intoxication with other charges possibly pending. She was later released on PR bond.

On 03/04/2022 Deputy Zach Sandlin stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the investigation a consent search was conducted and narcotics were located. 19-year-old Diego Luevano was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 >4g <400g. He was later released on $15,000  bond.

On 03/11/2022 Deputies served a search warrant on a residence on CR 410. During the investigation 39-year-old Susan Savage was arrested on a Brazoria County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g. 63-year-old Curtis Toner was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g and Possession of drug Paraphernalia. 31-year-old Jason Toner was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g and Mills County warrants for Burglary of a Habitation and Theft of Metal. 61-year-old Katherine Toner was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Savage was later released to Brazoria County. Curtis Toner was later released on $7,500 bond. Jason Toner remains in custody on $23,500 bond. Katherine Toner was later released on $7,500 bond.

On 03/14/2022 Deputy Son Drake arrested 37-year-old Ricardo Alvarez during a traffic stop. Alvarez was charged with No Driver’s License and Operate Unregistered Vehicle. He was later released after paying $400 in fines.

On 03/16/2022 30-year-old Wayne Romine was taken into custody after being sentenced to 5 years TDC in District Court for Assault Bodily Injury Fam/Household Member 2 Within 12 months.

On 03/17/2022 28-year-old Todd Stewart turned himself in to the Mills County Jail to begin serving a sentence to SAFP for the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g and Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intend to Impair.

On 03/21/2022 Deputies Zach Sandlin and Justin Guimbellot responded to a brush fire. During the investigation 60-year-old James Warden was arrested on a Blue Warrant for Evading Arrest W/Vehicle. He remains in custody.

On 03/21/2022 53-year-old Keith Boykin was taken into custody after being sentenced to 5 years TDC for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

On 03/23/2022 Deputy Son Drake responded to a person with possible mental issues. During the investigation 45-year-old Mark Ferdin was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was later released on PR bond.

On 03/26/2022 Deputy Zach Sandlin conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by 19-year-old Neal Lawler. During the encounter Lawler identified himself with an Illinois Driver’s License. A records check revealed the driver’s license was not valid and when asked about it Lawler stated he had accidentally given Deputy Sandlin his fake ID instead of his valid Texas Driver’s License. Lawler was arrested and charged with False Driver’s License/ID. He was later released on $1,500 bond.

On 03/28/2022 Deputy Justin Guimbellot arrested 60-year-old Howard Bailey after responding to a report of an attempted break in at a residence. Bailey was yelling g and banging on the house and resisted when Deputy Guimbellot attempted to detain him. Bailey was subsequently arrested and charges with Public Intoxication and Resist Arrest/Search/Transport. He was also given a Criminal Trespass Warning for the residence. He was later released on $2,500 bond.

On 03/31/2022 Deputies Justin Guimbellot and Zach Sandlin arrested 73-year-old Michael Killey at his residence on a Mills County warrant for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Conv/Susp/W/O Fin Res. He was later released on PR bond.

 

 

February 2022

On 02/01/2022 43 year old Cody Odom was arrested after he turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office on Mills County warrants for Failure to Appear/Possession of Child Pornography and Failure to Appear/Possession of a Controlled Substance. He remains in custody on $450,000 bond.

On 02/02/2022 31 year old Joanna Mccarty was arrested in District Court after she was sentenced to 3 years TDCJ for Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence w/Intent To Impair and 15 months State Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On 02/04/2022 68 year old Larry Clanton and 36 year old Hunter Henley were arrested during an investigation of a hit and run accident. Clanton was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 <1g, Theft of a Firearm, Tamper W/Identification Numbers, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle >$200. He was later released on $32,000 bond. Henley was charged with Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >200g <400g, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28g, Possession of Marijuana <2oz, and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. He remains in custody on $61,000 bond.

On 02/06/2022 20 year old Johnathan Outlaw was arrested for Unauthorized use of Vehicle after Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle was received from a local resident. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 02/07/2022 30 year old Roberto Medina-Gonzales was arrested on a San Saba County warrant. He was later picked up by San Saba County.

On 02/12/2022 26 year old William Chavez was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 <1g. He was later released on cash bond.

On 02/14/2022 32 year old Valeria Dominguez was arrested during a traffic stop for Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >4g <200g. She was later released on $50,000 bond.

On 02/14/2022 67 year old Bobby Duren was arrested on Mills County warrants raising his bond on the original charges of 2 counts Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon. He was later released on $150,000 bond.

On 02/23/2022 51 year old Jose Flores was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was released on 02/24/2022 on a PR Bond. Several hours later he was arrested again for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Conviction/Suspension/Without Financial Responsibility, Possession of Marijuana <2oz, Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Public Intoxication. He was later released on $3,540 bond.

On 02/23/2022 63 year old Hector Aguirre was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28g. He remains in custody on $15,000 bond.

On 02/28/2022 32 year old David Galindo was arrested on a Mills County warrant for Criminal Mischief >$2,500 <$30,000. He remains in custody on $15,000 bond.

On 02/28/2022 38 year old Jodie Griffin was arrested on Mills County warrants for MTA on Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g, MTA on Possession of Dangerous Drug and a Brown County warrant. She remains in custody on $85,000 bond.

01/12/2022 25 year old Calvin Brimage was arrested during a traffic stop after a search revealed a stolen firearm and Marijuana. Brimage was charged with Theft of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and Possession of Marijuana <2oz. He was later released on $23,500 bond.

01/05/2022 62 year old Dennis Fillip was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was later released on $345 bond.

01/06/2022 40 year old Allen Fox was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was later released on $11,500 bond.

01/19/2022 43 year old Anthony Griffin was arrested in District Court after being sentenced to 10 years TDCJ.

01/19/2022 33 year old Heather Hampton was brought back to the Mills County Jail on Multiple Mills County warrants. The warrants were for Motion to Adjudicate Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Motion to Adjudicate Possession of a Controlled Substance, Motion to Adjudicate Delivery of Marijuana DFZ, and Motion to Adjudicate Delivery of a Controlled Substance DFZ. She remains in the Mills County Jail on $30,000 bond.

01/26/2022 64 year old Kim Howerton turned himself in to the Mills County Jail on multiple Mills County warrants. The warrants were for Assault Family/Household Member/Impede Breath/Circulation, Unlawful Restraint/Expose to Serious Bodily Injury, and Interfere W/Emergency Request for Assistance. He was later released on $55,000 bond.

01/21/2022 24 year old Adrian Mackey, 27 year old Areana Mackey, 21 year old Ernest Ross, and 23 year old Bryson Smith were arrested during a traffic stop after a search revealed narcotics and weapons. Adrian Mackey was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 <1g. He was later released on $4,000 bond. Areana Mackey was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a weapon and Possession of Marijuana <2oz. She was later released on $3,500 bond. Ernest Ross was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28g. He was later released on $2,500 bond. Bryson Smith was charged with Possession of Marijuana <2oz. He was later released on $1,000 bond.

01/04/2022 29 year old Cheryl Minard was booked into the Mills County Jail after being sentenced to SAFEP. She remains in the Mills County Jail.

01/09/2022 19 year old Cale Morgan was arrested for False Drivers License/ID after Deputies responded to a residence on a complaint of hearing gunshots near them. He was later released on $500 bond.

01/31/2022 33 year old Cody Porter was arrested on a Brown County warrant for Motion to Revoke/Possession of a Controlled Substance DFZ. He remains in custody with bond denied.  

01/04/2022 18 year old Javier Rios was arrested during a traffic stop for Possession of Marijuana. He was later released on $300 cash bond.

01/08/2022 32 year old Amanda Singer was arrested on multiple narcotics charges when Deputies investigated suspicious activity at a local store. Singer was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g DFZ, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 <1g DFZ, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28g DFZ, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. She was later released on $7,200 bond.

01/04/2022 20 year old Daniela Valencia was arrested in Lampasas County on a Mills County warrant for Injury to Child/Elderly/Disabled Individual w/Intent Bodily Injury. She was transported back to Mills County and remains in custody on $50,000 bond.

01/18/2022 42 year old Eric Villarreal was arrested during a traffic stop for a Blue Warrant and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He remains in custody with bond denied.

01/21/2022 38 year old Christopher White was arrested during a traffic stop on a Mills County warrant for Theft of Property >$2500 <$30k Enhanced. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

Water

Update from the Judge's Office- The water at the Senior Center will not be available until Saturday.

 

Potable water will be available at the Senior Center, outside south faucet, for residential use only (not filling water trailers or tanks). This is an emergency service for rural residents who may lose their wells in the cold forecast Thursday and Friday this week. It will be starting around noon and the hose will be disconnected and covered at the end of the day.

On 10/04/2021 69 year old Judy Brown was arrested for Public Intoxication after she showed up at a residence in Priddy and the resident called the Sheriff’s Office to report that she “seemed confused and did not know where she was”. Deputies responded and Brown was subsequently arrested. She was later released on PR Bond.

On 10/07/2021 55 year old Valerie Turner was arrested in Bexar County on a Mills County warrant for Failure to Appear/Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g. She was later released after being given probation.

On 10/24/2021 36 year old Jesus Rivera was arrested during a traffic stop for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g and Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent to Impair.

On 10/26/2021 30 year old Sara Duncan was arrested for Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance W/Intent to Deliver and Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 <1g.

On 10/27/2021 73 year old Elbert Turner was sentenced to serve time in State Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. The  offense occurred when Turner came to the Mills County Jail to pick up another inmate and while waiting in the Lobby, dropped a small baggie of Methamphetamine from his pocket.

On 10/27/2021 23 year old Landon Wiedebusch was sentenced to serve time in County Jail on the offense of Criminal Mischief >$750 <$2,500.

On 10/28/2021 44 year old Triana Rodriguez was arrested for Public Intoxication and No Drivers License. He was later released on PR Bond.

On 11/05/2021 29 year old Annaliese Pirie was arrested during a traffic stop on a Travis County warrant for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd. She was later released on $2,500 bond.

On 11/06/2021 50 year old Robert Register was arrested in Hamilton County on a Mills County warrant for Theft of Property <$2,500 w/2 previous convictions. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 12/10/2021 57 year old Roger Curtis was arrested for Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon, Assault Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, and Public Intoxication after Deputies responded to his residence on a report of Domestic Disturbance. He remains in the Mills County Jail on $32,840 bond.

On 12/23/2021 27 year old Dequon Cole was arrested in Brown County on a Mills County warrant for Bail Jumping and Fail to Appear. He was later released on $10,000 bond.

On 12/30/2021 The Mills County Sheriff’s Office received information that Dixon Dewald from Coryell County was in Goldthwaite and had a Felony warrant for his arrest for Motion to Revoke on a Drug charge from Coryell County. The information was very specific with the description of the vehicle he was driving and the exact person and address where he was at. Deputies arrived at the residence and attempted to make contact with the occupants. The occupants refused to come to the door. They were advised of the Felony warrant and the consequences of Harboring a Fugitive. They continued to refuse to come to the door. Others in the area reported seeing Dewald at the residence earlier. A search warrant was issued for the residence. As the search warrant was about to be executed the owner of the residence, Christy Elton, came outside and claimed nobody else was in the residence. A thorough search was conducted and Dewald was located hiding in the attic. Dewald was placed under arrest for the warrant. Christy Elton was arrested for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both were transported to the Mills County Jail.

On 10/21/2021 The District Attorney’s office filed a Declaration of Nolle Prosequi (No Prosecution) on Colton Wayne Benningfield on the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

On 11/10/2021 Dorothy Boatright plead guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. She received 2 years probation and fines.

On 11/10/2021 Lindsey Homan plead guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 <1g. She received 2 years Deferred Adjudication Probation and fines.

On 11/10/2021 Francisco Reyna plead guilty to the offense of Stalking. He received 10 years probation.

On 04/16/2021 29 year old Stephine Stewart was arrested in Coleman County on a Mills County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. She w2as later released on $5,000 bond.

On 04/18/2021 33 year old Jennifer Garcia was arrested during an investigation into the welfare of a child. The child was found outside unattended at the residence. Garcia, mother of the child, was inside the residence and when asked why the child was unattended the Deputy noticed that she was under the influence of narcotics, namely Methamphetamine. A consensual search was conducted inside the residence and a substantial amount of Methamphetamine and a quantity of Marijuana were located. On 04/25/2021 68 year old Joann Brown was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with Fleeing Police Office Imminent Danger Serious Bodily Injury and Driving While Intoxicated. She was later released after posting $5,000 bond.

On 05/06/2021 25 year old Steven Barron Storey was arrested during a traffic stop for Unlawful Possession Firearm by Felon, Unlawful Carry of Weapon, Resist Arrest Search or Transport, Driving While Intoxicated 2nd and Fail to Identify False/Fictitious Info. He was later released on $26,500 bond.

On 05/07/2021 23 year old Luke Leatherman Harper was arrested on a Mills County warrant for Driving While Intoxicated. He was later released on a PR bond.

On 05/08/2021 39 year old Jared Franklin Pfeil was arrested on a Uvalde County warrant for Violation of Pretrial/Stalking. He was later transported back to Uvalde County.

On 05/08/2021 21 year old Zyketh Tyree Campbell and 23 year old Michael Edmund Gomez were arrested during a traffic stop for Possession of Marijuana <2oz and Unlawful Carry Weapon. They were later released on $3,500 bond.

On 05/11/2021 24 year old Francisco Xaiver Reyna was arrested on a Mills County warrant for Stalking. He was later released on $15,000 bond.

On 05/14/2021 21 year old Tyler Layne Cisneros was arrested during a traffic stop for Possession of Marijuana <2oz. He was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 05/23/2021 24 year old Guerchon Kousmha was arrested during a traffic stop for Driving While License Invalid and Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 05/25/2021 52 year old Keith Dwayne Boykin was arrested on a Mills County warrant for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More. He was later released on $12,500 bond.

On 05/28/2021 31 year old Joanna McCarty was arrested on Mills County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g and Tampering With or Fabricating Physical Evidence. She was later released on $15,000 bond.

On 05/28/2021 31 year old Jamie Kristen Kidd was arrested during a traffic stop for Driving While Intoxicated W/Child Under 15yoa and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28g in a Drug Free Zone. She was later released on $32,500 bond.

 

 

5-4-2021

Sheriff Clint Hammonds reported recent arrest from January to current. On January 29th at approximately 0145 Deputy Drake was on patrol on US 84 west just outside of Goldthwaite. Deputy Drake observed a truck pulling a trailer west bound on US 84 traveling at a 99 M.P.H. in a 55 M.P.H. zone. Deputy Drake stopped the driver who is identified as Hadley Wayne Seider 23 of Mullin, Texas. During the stop it was determined that Seider was intoxicated and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. As a result of multiple undercover narcotics investigations in the year of 2019 and 2020 Matthew James Jackson 51 of Goldthwaite was taken into custody for sentencing on March 2nd. Jackson was charged with several counts of delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine over 4 grams but less than 200 grams, tampering with evidence and failure to register as sex offender. Jackson was sentenced to 15 years for possession and 15 years for delivery and 2 years for failure to register as sex offender. On February 17th Joshua Allen Auvenshine 23 Of Comanche, Texas was arrested for a motion to revoke probation for a previous possession of methamphetamine in Mills County. On February 22, Deputies responded to a suspicious person near a business on Fisher Street in Goldthwaite. Deputies located a 21-year-old female in a black car next to the building. The female was identified as Lashantae Shacole Williams of San Antonio. Williams was arrested for a robbery warrant out of Bexar County, Texas and the vehicle she was in was also stolen from San Antonio.

 

On March 3rd Deputies transported 22-year-old James Johnathan Walker from Arkansas for a warrant charging him with burglary of a building. On March 9th Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Fisher Street in Goldthwaite and made contact with driver identified as Beatriz Cordero-Jimenez 25 of Austin. During the stop deputies had probable cause for a search that resulted in the seizure of marijuana and other controlled substance. Jimenez was arrested and later posted bail of her charges. On March 10th Justin Ismael Zepeda 19 of Austin, Texas was arrested for surety withdraw for possession of marijauna and a controlled substance. On March 14th Deputies were on patrol on US 84 west of Goldthwaite and stopped the driver of a vehicle for a traffic infraction. During the contact deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and recovered a loaded handgun, marijuana and 28 grams of prescription medicine. Christopher Rodriguez was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and unlawful carrying of handgun. This same date at approximately 6:30 PM, Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that fled from them on US 183 and continuing on to County Road 450. The driver of the vehicle finally stopped further down County Road 450 inside some property. Deputies made contact with 51-year-old Jeffery Dean Carlisle of Copperas Cove, TX. Deputies observed Carlisle smoking a marijauna cigarette. Carlisle was arrested for possession of marijuana, fleeing and was taken to the Mills County Jail. Once inside the jail during a search an item fell from Carlisle’s boots believed to be drugs but Carlisle immediately grabbed the item and flushed it. Carlisle was then charged with felony tampering with evidence. Further through the booking process Carlisle made death threats against staff and was charged with felony retaliation.

 

Keith Dwayne Boykin 52 of Goldthwaite was arrested on March 15th for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more. On March 17th Breanna Lynn Spencer 37 of Brownwood, Texas was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants for possession of methamphetamine. Walter Franklin Wilson 27 of Mullin, TX was taken into custody on March 19th after being sentenced to SAFEP treatment facility. On March 21 at approximately 5:50 PM, Jonathan Tyrone Kitchens 26 of Killeen, TX was stopped for a minor traffic violation which resulted in the recovery of THC edibles and cocaine. Kitchens was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. On March 24th Victoria Larae Lomas was arrested for an outstanding warrant for motion to revoke probation for possession of controlled substance. On March 31st Tyler Tindell 21 of Mart, TX was sentenced by 35th District Judge Mike Smith to 5 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the offense of burglary of a building.

On 05/03/2020 Deputies responded to the 1600 Block of Priddy Road in response to an intoxicated male who refused to leave the residence. While enroute Deputies learned that the subject had started shooting at the residence. Deputies arrived and as a result of the investigation 49 year old Jarred Lee Williams was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was later charged with Motion to Adjudicate/Deadly Conduct/Discharge Firearm. Williams remains in the Mills County Jail on bonds totaling $50,000.

On 05/13/2020 33 year old Amber Scheree Sims was booked into the Mills County Jail on several Mills County Warrants. The warrants were for Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent to Impair/ Repeat Offender, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g in a Drug Free Zone and Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >4g <200g/Repeat Offender. Sims remains in the Mills County Jail on bonds totaling $115,000.

On 05/15/2020 26n year old Esteban Rodriguez Jr. was arrested on several Mills County warrants. The warrants were for Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >400g, Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g and Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. Rodriguez was released on bonds totaling $47,500.

On 05/15/2020 DPS Troopers arrested 22 year old Zachariah Terrence Gorham on a warrant for Theft and Possession of Marijuana <2oz. Gorham was later released on $6,000 bond.

On 05/16/2020 DPS Troopers investigated a crash on FM 574. As a result of the investigation 20 year old Christian Manuel Valencia was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated BAC >.15 and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Valencia was later released on $5,500 bond.

On 05/29/2020 29 year old Adalberto Deleon was transported to the Mills County Jail from Tom Green County on Mills County warrants. The warrants were for Failure to Appear/Theft of Livestock, Theft of Livestock and Evading Arrest. Deleon remains in the Mills County Jail on bonds totaling $176,000.

On 05/29/2020 26 year old Dequon Jamar Cole was arrested in Brown County on a Mills County warrant for MTR/Failure to Identify. Cole was later released on $1,500 bond.

On 05/31/2020 35 year old Edward Gonzales was arrested on a Hamilton County warrant for Promote Prostitution of Less Than 18 YOA Person. Gonzales was later released on $20,000 bond.

On 06/01/2020 Deputies responded to New Horizons Ranch in reference to an assault. As a result of the investigation 17 year old Christopher Robin Smith was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Smith remains in the Mills County Jail on $2,500 bond.

On 06/13/2020 21 year old James Jonathon Walker was transported back to Mills County from Arkansas on Mills County warrant for Burglary of a Building. Walker was later released on $7,500 bond.

On 06/15/2020 DPS Trooper Owens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Hwy 183. As a result of the stop and subsequent investigation 5 people were arrested on multiple charges.

1.  19 year old Jesus Humberto Ramos for out of county warrants for Evading Arrest/Detention W/Vehicle and MTA Attempt to Commit Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1g and Mills County charges of Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG2 >400g, Possession of Marijuana >4oz <5lbs and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Ramos was later released on bonds totaling $67,500.

2. 18 year old Anallely Yasmin Jaimez-Perez was arrested for Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG2 >400g, Possession of Marijuana >4oz <5lbs and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Perez was later released on bonds totaling $55,000.

3.  18 year old Margarito Andreas Sanchez was arrested for Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG2 >400g, Possession of Marijuana >4oz <5lbs and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Sanchez was later released on bonds totaling $55,000.

4.  17 year old Daemon Lye Garcia was arrested for Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG2 >400g, Possession of Marijuana >4oz <5lbs and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Garcia was later released on bonds totaling $55,000.

On 06/27/2020 55 year old Robert Joe Anderson was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Anderson was later released on $1,500 bond.

On 07/03/2020 36 year old Nora Lopez-Perez was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury/Family Member. Lopez-Perez was later released on PR bond.

On 07/08/2020 Deputies arrested 51 year old Moses Fernando Valencia on Mills County warrants for Assault Causes Bodily Injury/Family Member and Criminal Trespass. Valencia was later released on 07/17/2020 after being given time served.

On 07/10/2020 39 year old John David Ritter was arrested in San Saba County on a Mills County warrant for FTA/Revoke Probation/DWLI. Ritter was later released on $750 bond.

On 07/11/2020 Deputy Drake conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Hwy 84West.  As a result of the stop and subsequent investigation 62 year old Theodore Alan Dupee was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 >4g <400g, Possession of Marijuana <2oz and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Dupee remains in the Mills County Jail on bonds totaling $19,000.

                                        

 

Covid-19 Drive-Thru testing

The Texas Military Department is conducting a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site in Goldthwaite tomorrow,  April 23, 2020 beginning at 8:00am at the Goldthwaite Fire Station.   The drive-thru testing will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY.  If you believe that you could have COVID-19, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please call the COVID-19 Testing Call Center at 512-883-2400. You can also register at www.txcovidtesting.org for your drive-thru test.   Once you register online and go through the screening process, you will receive a text message or phone call from the call center to inform you of the time of your appointment. 

 Symptoms of COVID-19 may include, fever (higher than 99.6), cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, nasal congestion, fatigue, producing sputum, muscle/joint pain, chills, diarrhea, and loss of taste/smell.

On 03/03/2020 31 year old Heather Nicole Hampton was arrested in Texarkana on Mills County Warrants for FTA/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, FTA Delivery of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone, FTA Possession of a Controlled Substance, Theft of Property >$750 <$2500. Hampton was returned to Mills County with bonds totaling $218,500. She remains in the Mills County Jail.

On 03/04/2020 42 year old Jeramie Sherman Wyatt Vanover was arrested on a Parole Blue Warrant. He remains in the Mills County Jail.

On 03/05/2020 39 year old Trokecha Rayshon Smith was arrested in Taylor County on a Mills County warrant for Possession of Marijuana. He was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 03/11/2020 21 year old Landon Andrew Wiedebusch turned himself in to the Comanche County Jail on a Mills County warrant for Criminal Mischief >$2500 <$30,000. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 03/13/2020 23 year old Jordan Ruben Mendoza was arrested on a Mills County warrant for MTA/ Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence w/Intent to Impair. He remains in the Mills County Jail.

On 03/17/2020 63 year old William Lamar Hall was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury/Family Member. He was later released on $2,750 bond.

On 12/02/2019 Deputies Brown and Fincher responded to a report of a subject that had pointed a handgun and threatened two workers at a local RV Park. After speaking with witnesses Deputies learned that the subject had gone into one of the trailers. Deputies were able to locate and take into custody 65 year old Timothy Stovall. Stovall was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent to Impair. Stovall was later released on PR bonds totaling $25,000.

On 12/05/2019 30 year old Ashton Alaine Sinast was arrested on Mills County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance W/Intent to Deliver, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >4g <200g, Bail Jumping/FTA, Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. Sinast was later released on Bonds totaling $33,500.

On 12/10/2019 35 year old Adam Byron Coston was arrested in Bell County on Mills County warrants for Burglary of a Building and Criminal Trespass. Coston was later released on $6,000 bond.

On 12/11/2019 Mills County Deputies arrested 38 year old Patrick Gonzales for an assault that had occurred earlier at a local meet packing plant. Gonzales was charged with Assault Causes Bodily Injury. Gonzales was later released on $2,750 bond.

On 12/13/2019 19 year old Jaycee Lynne Lenz was sentence by the 35th District Court to serve 90 days in County Jail as a condition of probation on her charge of Aggravated Assault against a Public Servant.

On 12/16/2019 The Mills County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of a reckless driver on FM 2005. Deputies responded to the area and the vehicle was located. As a result of the investigation 37 year old Ashley Ferguson was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Ferguson was later released on $1,500 bond.

On 12/21/2019 31 year old Cody Lee Porter was arrested on a Brown County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone/ Motion to Adjudicate. Porter was later transferred to Brown County.

On 12/26/2019 24 year old Erik Alexander Brudeseth turned himself in to the Mills County Jail after being sentenced to 30 days confinement by the 35th District Court.

On 12/26/2019 Deputy George 'Son' Drake attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US Hwy 84 East and CR 230. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a white male subject, exited the vehicle and took off on foot. The female passenger, later identified as 29 year old ANNIE ROSE LEWIS got into the driver seat of the vehicle and evaded Deputy Drake in the vehicle continuing on CR 230. Deputy Drake later located the vehicle further on the same road. Lewis was no longer inside of the vehicle but was later located hiding under a piece of large machinery near where she abandoned the vehicle. LEWIS was arrested and charged with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent to Impair, Evading Arrest/Detention W/Vehicle, and Unauthorized Use of Vehicle. Upon closer inspection of the vehicle, it was discovered that the rear license plate had been altered and that the vehicle was stolen out of Bell County. The male driver has been identified and charges are pending.

On 01/06/2020 Deputy Brown conducted a traffic stop on a motor home traveling on Hwy 183. During the stop Deputy Brown noticed the odor of burnt Marijuana. During the subsequent investigation multiple forms of narcotics were located along with several weapons. As a result of the investigation the driver, 65 year old Jed William Dowis, was arrested and charged with four counts of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Evading Arrest/Detention, Possession of Marijuana >2oz <4oz, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG 2 >4g <400g. The passenger,  63 year old Linda Marie Dowis, was arrested and charged with four counts of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of Marijuana >2oz <4oz, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 >1g <4g, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG 2 >4g <400g. They were later released on bonds totaling $94,700 and $92,700.

On 01/07/2020 26 year old Reynaldo Mendoza was arrested in Brown County on a Mills County warrant for MTR/DWI. Mendoza was released on $1,000 bond.

On 01/07/2020 33 year old Charlie Manley was arrested in Brazos County on a Mills County warrant for FTA/Reckless Driving. Manley was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 01/07/2019 45 year old Chad Broom was arrested in Tarrant County on a Mills County warrant for MTA/Possession of a Controlled Substance. Broom was later released on $10,000 bond.

On 01/08/2019 Deputy Drake conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Goldthwaite. As a result of the stop and subsequent investigation 35 year old Candy Jo Norwood was arrested and charged with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent to Impair, Prohibited Substance/Item in a Correctional Facility, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g, and Mills County warrants for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member, Interfere W/Emergency Request for Assistance, Criminal Mischief >$100 <$750, and Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon/ Surety Withdrawal. Norwood remains in the Mills County Jail on Bonds totaling $82,500.  

On 01/08/2020 DPS Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. As a result of the stop and subsequent investigation the driver, 38 year old Ramah Sussane Stanard was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g, and the passenger, 24 year old Jordan Paige Patterson was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g, Possession of a Controlled Substance >1g <4g, Pamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent to Impair, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Stanard was later released on $15,000 bond and Patterson was released on $27,500.

On 01/08/2020 35 year old Adam Wayne Coston was arrested during District Court on Mills County Warrants for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions, and MTR/DWI 2nd. Coston was released on $2,410.

On 01/11/2020 31 year old Kelley Scott Covey was arrested for Criminal Trespass. Covey was later released on $1,000 PR bond.

On 01/14/2020 18 year old Carson Kelley was transported back to Mills County from Bastrop County after being arrested there on a Mills County warrant for MTA/Fabricate Evidence W/Intent to Impair. Kelley remains in the Mills County Jail on $50,000 bond.

On 01/16/2020 24 year old Erik Estavan Adame was arrested in Zapata County on a Mills County warrant for MTR/Possession of Marijuana <2oz. Adame was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 01/16/2020 29 year old Camille Cecile Bauer was arrested in Killeen on a Mills County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Bauer was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 01/16/2020 47 year old Christopher Carranza was arrested in Madison County on a Mills County warrant for Theft by Check. Carranza was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 01/17/2020 27 yea4r5 old Martha Dawn Lawhon was returned to Mills County from TDCJ on a Bench Warrant to face charges of Tampering With or Fabricating Physical Evidence. Lawhon remains in the Mills County Jail.

On 01/21/2020 34 year old Jack Cameron was arrested for MTR/Injury to Child/Elderly/Disabled W/Intent Bodily Injury. Cameron remains in the Mills County Jail.

On 01/22/2020 64 year old Bobby Eugene Gwinn was sentence to probation and SAFEP in the 35th District Court on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g. Gwinn remains in the Mills County Jail awaiting transport to TDCJ.

On 01/22/2020 55 year old Gail Evelyn Reeves was sentenced to SAFEP in the 35th District Court on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >4g <200g. Reeves remains in the Mills County Jail awaiting transport to TDCJ.

On 01/30/2020 Deputy Mulloy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Hwy 84. During the stop and after the subsequent investigation 46 year old James Travis King was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana >4oz <5lbs. King was later released on $7,500 bond.

On 01/28/2020 53 year old Robin Tedford Williams was returned from US Marshalls custody to Mills County awaiting trial on Mills County charge of Man/Del Controlled Substance PG1 >4g <200g.

                                                    

Vandalism

Recently, the Mills County Sheriff’s Office has taken reports of vandalism to county property. The primary areas that have been affected are around County Roads 430, CR 432, and CR 550. On 09/04/2019 at approximately 10:37, Deputy Johnny Brown and Investigator John Fincher responded to a call referencing a welfare check on a male subject. Caller advised dispatch that a man was standing on the side of a residential road waving his arms around and talking to himself, acting strange. Upon arrival, Deputies identified the subject as 35 year old ROBERT DALE HARLAN. HARLAN was acting as if he was under the influence of a controlled substance. HARLAN was found to be in possession of methamphetamine on his persons that he voluntarily surrendered to Deputies. HARLAN was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, PG1 <1 gram in a Drug Free Zone. He was released several days later on $10,000 bond.

On 09/10/2019 Investigator John Fincher transported 42 year old SHIMIKA MARTINEZ from the Guadalupe County Jail to Mills County for a warrant for the charge of Burglary of a Habitation. Martinez was released several days later on $25,000 bond.

On September 6, 2019 at approximately 13:30 Investigator Stephanie Brown arrested 48 year old MICHAEL PAUL DALTON for the offense of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements - 3rd Degree Felony, when DALTON turned himself into the Mills County Jail. He was later released on $10,000 bond.

On 09/06/2019 Deputy Bruce Mulloy transported 34 year old ANDREW LEE HEATH from Brown County to the Mills County Jail on a Mills County warrant for the charge of Failure to Appear – Theft by Check. Heath sat out his punishment in jail and was released on 09/25/2019.

On 09/07/2019 Deputy Bruce Mulloy answered a call in Mullin regarding a wanted subject. 29 year old CORY DON BAKER was arrested on a Mills County warrant for Assault Cause Bodily Injury. Baker was released the next day on $3,000 bond.

On 09/13/2019 Mills County Deputies arrested 32 year old KRYSTAL MICHELLE DOTSON at a residence in Mullin. DOTSON was arrested for several Security Withdrawal warrants with charges including Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 >4 grams <200 grams, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1 gram and Delivery of Marijuana <1/4 oz. During a consensual search of her living space a quantity of suspected Methamphetamine and a firearm were located and further charges are pending. DOTSON remains in jail on bonds totaling $42,500.

On 09/14/2019 Deputy Son Drake conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 183 South. During a consensual search of the vehicle Deputy Drake located a small quantity of Methamphetamine. 48 year old DEANNA SUE BERBERICH was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1 gram. BERBERICH remains ion the Mills County Jail on $5,000 bond.

On 09/18/2019 26 year old STEPHEN PRESCOT SOTO-THORNHILL came to the Mills County Jail to visit an inmate. During a routine records check it was found that SOTO-THORNHILL had a warrant out of Erath County for Failure to Appear/Driving While Intoxicated. SOTO-THORNHILL was released the next day on $10,000 bond.

On 09/20/2019 20 year old MAKAYLA TURNER was arrested in Bastrop County on an outstanding Mills County warrant for Motion to Set Aside Pretrial Diversion/Possession of Fictitious Driver’s License. Turner was release from Bastrop County on $4,000 bond.

On 09/26/2019 36 year old JODIE LORAINE GRIFFIN was arrested during a traffic stop for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1 gram and Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information.  Griffin was released several weeks later on bond.

On 09/27/2019 39 year old PEDRO EMMANUEL MARTINEZ turned himself in to the Mills County Jail. He was ordered to jail as part of an Order Amending Probation by the 35th District Court. On 11/08/2019 Martinez was transported to Texas Department Criminal Justice Institutional Division.

On 10/07/2019 46 year old TAMMY LYNN DOTSON was arrested in Brown County on a Mills County warrant for Theft of Property >$100 <$750. Dotson was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 10/07/2019 37 year old PATRICK GONZALES was arrested for Criminal Mischief <$100. Gonzales was released days later after sitting out his fine. 

On 10/13/2019 34 year old CANDY JO NORWOOD turned herself in to the Brown County Jail on a Mills County warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. NORWOOD was released days later on $50,000 bond.

On 10/20/2019 Deputy Bruce Mulloy responded to a report of an assault in Goldthwaite. During the investigation 51 year old MOSES FERNANDO VALENCIA was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury /Family Member and Criminal Trespass. VALENCIA was released several days later on $4,500 bond.

On 10/26/2019 Deputy Son Drake responded to a one vehicle accident. During the investigation consent was given to search the vehicle. As a result of the investigation 17 year old ABRAM TRINIDAD ESTRADA was arrested for possession of marijuana <2 oz. ESTRADA was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 10/26/2019 Deputy Son Drake conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Hwy 183 South. As a result of the stop 37 year old ALEXANDERIA JEAN HERRERA was arrested for Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Wrong/Fictitious/Altered or Obscured Registration. HERRERA was later released on $850 bond.

On 10/27/2019 Deputy Son Drake arrested 29 year old FELIPE PENALOZA-LOPEZ for a Dallas County warrant for Bond Forfeiture/Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1 gram. PENALOZA-LOPEZ was later released after posting a cash bond.

On 10/30/2019 45 year old TANYA JO NORTON was arrested for Motion to Revoke/Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 <1 gram. NORTON later plead to a prison sentence and was transported to Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

On 11/06/2019 Sheriff Clint Hammonds conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Hwy 16 North. As a result of the stop 25 year old TODD ALLEN STEWART was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >1 gram < 4 grams, and Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence. Stewart was later released after posting $85,000 bond.

On 11/07/2019 46 year old BERRY HOUSTON BALLARD turned himself in to the Mills County Jail on a Pardon/Parole warrant for DWI 3rd or more. BALLARD was later transported to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

On 11/12/2019 44 year old ROXANNE GWENN ADAMS was arrested in Taylor County on a Mills County warrant for Unpaid Judgement from Court with an original charge of Possession of Marijuana < 2oz. ADAMS was later released after posting a cash bond.

On 11/13/2019 29 year old VINCENT ANTHONY ASCIUTTO was sentenced to prison in the 35 District Court. ASCIUTTO was released 23 days later on an appeal bond.

On 11/15/2019 Deputies responded to a call of a female being held against her will in a vehicle travelling from Comanche. The vehicle was located and as a result 17 year old ABEL SANTIAGO CRUZ was arrested for Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence, Unlawful Restraint, Possession of Marijuana < 2oz, and No Driver’s License. The female was unharmed.

On 11/16/2019 Deputy Son Drake conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Hwy 16 South. As a result of a consensual search of the vehicle 23 year old LUCAS SHELBY TALASH was arrested for Possession of Marijuana < 2oz. TALASH was later released after posting $1,000 bond.

On 11/16/2019 26 year old JOSHUA LEROY LOZANA turned himself into the Mills County Jail to lay out fines on charges of Driving While License Invalid and Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility. LOZANO was release after 9 days.

On 11/21/2019 Deputy Son Drake conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Hwy 84 West. As a result of the stop 25 year old BENNY FAY LEACH JR was arrested on a Brown County warrant for Child Support. LEACH was release3d days later after posting $1,500 bond.

On 11/25/2019 27 year old ALEXANDERA BRYSON was arrested in Comanche County on a Mills County warrant for Possession of Marijuana < 2oz. BRYSON was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 11/25/2019 51 year old KITTREDGE EVANS was arrested in Travis County on a Mills County warrant for Failure to Appear/Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 < 1gram. EVANS was later released on $30,000 bond.

On 11/26/2019 PABLO DAVILA was arrested in Tarrant County for a Mills County warrant for Theft of Property <$100 and Theft of Service <$100. Davila was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 11/27/2019 Deputy Johnny Brown transported 23 year old TYLER ALEXANDER MAY from the Roberson Unit of TDCJ in Abilene back to Mills County on warrants for two counts of Burglary of a Habitation. MAY remain in the Mills County Jail.

On 11/30/2019 25 year old BRIAN WAYNE HOPSON turned himself into the Mills County Jail to serve a 15 day sentence as a condition of probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 >400 grams.

On 06/09/2019 DPS arrested 29 year old Jose Natividad Rodriguez-Gonzalez for Driving While Intoxicated. He was later released to I.C.E.

On 06/30/2019 DPS arrested 21 year old Tyrun Jejuan Harris on outstanding Arkansas warrants for Probation Violation/Residential Burglary and Probation Violation/Theft of Property. Harris was later released to Arkansas officials.

On 07/03/2019 Mills County arrested 52 year old Robin Tedford Williams on an outstanding warrant for Manufacture/Deliver of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, Greater than 4 grams/Less Than 200 grams. She was later released to the US Marshalls Office.

On 07/05/2019 Deputies of The Mills County Sheriff’s Office and The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office served Search/Arrest Warrants in Goldthwaite and Hamilton County simultaneously. The warrants were a result of investigations into the Possession of Child Pornography by Investigator Stephanie Brown. While serving the warrants, 41 year old Cody Ray Odom was arrested on outstanding warrants for ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Odom was released on bonds totaling $125,000 the next day.

On 07/06/2019 DPS arrested 34 year old Taylor Kennon Mclean during a traffic stop for Possession of Marijuana <2oz. Mclean was later released on a PR Bond.

On 07/06/2019 DPS arrested 34 year old Miguil Louis Calderon during a traffic stop for Possession of Marijuana <2oz and Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. Calderon was later released on bonds totaling $6,750.   

On 07/17/2019 31 year old Miguel A Ramirez was arrested in Flower Mound, Texas on an outstanding Mills County warrant for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Conviction. He was later released on $1,500 bond.

On 07/19/2019 Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Hwy 183 South. As a result of the stop, 22 year old Garrett Scott Crouch was arrested on an outstanding Brown County warrant for Bond Forfeiture/Possession of Marijuana. He was released the next day on $4,500 bond.

On 07/21/2019 DPS arrested 29 year old Corri Dawn Zimmer-White during a traffic stop for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. White was later released on $1,750 bond.

On 07/24/2019 36 year old Crystal Lee Samaniego was arrested in Limestone County on a Mills County warrant for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. She was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 07/27/2019 35 year old Jeramy Lynn Lemons was arrested during an investigation a call of an individual passed out in a car on Hwy 16 N. Lemons was arrested for Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. He was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 07/29/2019 Mills County Deputies arrested 37 year old Phillip Eugene Jones on an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Jones remains incarcerated.

On 07/30/2019 61 year old Timothy Lee Warnell was arrested in Brown County on an outstanding Mills County warrant for Forgery of a Financial Instrument. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 08/03/2019 DPS arrested 28 year old Cory Michael Roberts during a traffic stop on a Travis County Warrant for Violation of a Protective Order. Roberts was later released on $10,000 bond.

On 08/03/2019 Deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 84 East. During the stop the driver, 64 year old Jerry Lee Fickinger was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated W/Open Container. One of the passengers in the vehicle was identified as 57 year old Lozaro Gerardo Elizondo Perez. Perez was also intoxicated and it was discovered that he was in possession of multiple forms of fraudulent identification including a Texas ID Card, fake Social Security card and a fake Permanent Resident card. Perez was arrested for Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information. Perez is currently being held on $5,000 bond and a hold from I.C.E.

On 08/04/2019 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 183 South and Hwy 16 South. The driver of the vehicle, 26 year old Joshua Miguel Olivarri, was found to be intoxicated. Olivarri was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated/Open Container and Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. He was later released on bonds totaling $4,000.

On 08/06/2019 Mills County retrieved 42 year old Raul Perez-Basulto from TDC Huntsville Unit as Basulto was being paroled. Basulto was arrested on Mills County warrants for Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse/Security Withdrawal and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information. Basulto was transported back to the Mills County Jail.

On 08/07/2019 Deputies located 44 year old Nelda Juanita Hannon at a local convenience store. Deputies knew Hannon had multiple outstanding arrest warrants from Mills County. Deputies detained Hannon and confirmed the warrants. Deputies also knew the person with Hannon identified as 26 year old Dallas Roy Burleson. Deputies determined that Burleson had an outstanding warrant out of Brown County for Motion to Adjudicate/Possession of a Controlled Substance. During the detention several items of drug paraphernalia along with quantities of Methamphetamine and Cocaine were located on Hannons person. During a consent search of the vehicle Burleson and Hannon had been in, Deputies located more Methamphetamine, scales and baggies used for distribution, Xanax pills, Hydrocodone pills and MDMA/Ecstasy.  Hannon was arrested on her outstanding warrants and multiple new drug charges. Burleson was arrested on the outstanding Brown County warrant and several new drug charges. Both remain in the Mills County Jail. Hannon has bonds totaling $253,000, and Burleson has bonds totaling $55,000.

On 08/14/2019 27 year old Devlin G Woolsey was arrested in Williamson County on an outstanding Mills County Warrant for Theft of Service >$100 <$750. He was later released on $1,000 bond.

On 08/15/2019 45 year old Tanya Jo Norton turned herself in to the Mills County Jail on a Mills County Warrant for Motion to Revoke/Possession of a Controlled Substance. Norton remains in the Mills County Jail as Bond has been denied.

On 08/16/2019 49 year old Michael Jamison Groh was arrested in Coryell County on outstanding Mills County Warrants for Motion to Revoke/Possession of Marijuana and Motion to Revoke/Driving While License Invalid. Groh was later released on Bonds totaling $1,000.

On 08/17/2019 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Fisher St. in Goldthwaite. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 59 year old Jimmy Gomez. During a consent search of Gomez vehicle Deputies located a quantity of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. Gomez was arrested on charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, <1gram in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Marijuana <2oz in a Drug Free Zone. Gomez was later released on bonds totaling $17,500.

On 08/19/2019 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 84 West in Mullin. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 46 year old Rafael Villalpando along with a passenger identified as 24 year old Gabriel Lee Garcia and another passenger. Villalpando originally gave Deputies the name Rafael Garcia. It was determined after some investigation that Villalpando was giving a false identity. A computer search confirmed that Villalpando had a Parole Violation Warrant for Theft. During the investigation and a consensual search Deputies located Drug Paraphernalia which tested positive for Cocaine and a quantity of THC concentrate. Villalpando was arrested for the Parole Warrant, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, <1gram, Fraudulent use of/Possession of Identifying information of the Elderly, Failure to ID Fugitive, and Driving While License Invalid W/Previous Convictions. Garcia was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 <1gram.

On 08/26/2019 63 year old Bobby Eugene Gwinn was arrested in Taylor County on a Mills County Warrant for Motion to Adjudicate/Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1gram. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

On 08/27/2019 The Mills County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle driving on the track at the Elementary School in Goldthwaite. The caller was able to give a good description of the vehicle. The vehicle was located a short time later on Parker Street. There were four occupants in the vehicle. Deputies discovered that all of the occupants were consuming alcohol. During the investigation it was learned that three of the occupants were over 21 but one was not. As a result of the investigation 25 year old Colton Chase Greenwood-Seider was arrested and charged with Purchase/Furnish Alcohol to a Minor, 21 year old Landon Andrew Wiedebusch was arrested and charged with Purchase/Furnish Alcohol to a Minor, 29 year old Megan Lynn Hall was arrested and charged with Purchase/Furnish Alcohol to a Minor, and 20 year old Halee Kaye Head was arrested and charged with Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. All four were later released on bond.

On 08/28/2019 Mills County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated person trespassing and a possible assault. When Deputies arrived they found 37 year old Patrick Gonzales in the back yard of the residence drunk and very agitated. As a result of the investigation Gonzales was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. Gonzales was released several days later after sitting out his fines.  

On 08/29/2019  28 year old Robert McCoy Howard II was arrested in Harris County on a Mills County warrant for Motion to Adjudicate/Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1gram. He was later released on $10,000 bond.

On 08/30/2019 49 Year old Tabby Soto Day turned herself in to the Mills County Jail after she was sentenced to 30 days jail time as a condition of probation in Mills County District Court. 

                                                      

7/23/19

On June 2nd,  Tomas Drake 61 years of age of Austin, Texas was arrested on several Mills County warrants relating to failure to appear for driving while license invalid. As a result of 35th judicial District Court Judge Steve Ellis sentenced 30-year-old Paul Anthony Gallardo of Brownwood to six years in TDCJ for the offense of possession of controlled substance. On June 6th, 28-year-old Christopher Andrew Bankhead of Brownwood was arrested on a Hemphill County warrant for burglary of a habitation. Bankhead was broke down on County road 118 and was discovered by Troopers who determined he was wanted. On June 15th Casey Michelle Rhea, 36, of Killeen, Texas was arrested on a warrant charging bail jumping and failed to appear for a previous offense of possession of methamphetamine. On June 7th, Mills County deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not have a license plate. Deputies identified the driver as Tanya Jo Norton, 36 years of age, of Goldthwaite. During the stop, deputies determined that Norton was intoxicated and was operating a vehicle with an invalid license. Norton was placed under arrest and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid. On June 10th, as a result of 35th District Court, Nathan Crye, 33 years of age, from Goldthwaite was sentenced to five years in TDCJ. On June 11th, Tiffany Winzer, 28, of Stafford, Texas was arrested for fail to appear for possession of methamphetamine in a drug free zone and fail to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia. On June 12th,  Walter Franklin Wilson, 25, of Mullin was arrested on a warrant for the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon due to a previous investigation in the month of April. On June 15th, Mills County deputies responded to a report of an individual armed with a knife threatening people in the 700 block of Reynolds Street. The suspect was identified as, 36 year old, Lewis Edward Voelkel III of Goldthwaite. He was located a short time later and placed under arrest for the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Voelkel remains in the Mills County jail on this charge with the addition of a blue warrant from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. On June 19th, Damian Dennis Cox was transported back to Mills County on a felony warrant charging him with motion to adjudicate probation for the offense of evading arrest with a vehicle. On this same date, Norma Correa, 31 years of age, previously of Goldthwaite was sentenced to four years confinement by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the offense of injury to the elderly. On June 23rd at approximately 4:20 PM, deputies responded to an address off of 8th Street in regards to a subject that had an active criminal trespass warning. Deputies arrived on scene, where witnesses stated that 64 year old Jerry Lee Fickinger of Goldthwaite had come onto the property intoxicated. Fickinger was located a short time later in the area and was placed under arrest for the offense of criminal trespass. On June 23rd, Mills County deputies conducted a traffic stop on Fisher Street at approximately 2:30 AM. The driver was identified as Matthew Wade Wilk, 25 years of age, from Austin Texas and passenger 22-year-old Bailey Elizabeth Ball of San Marcos, Texas. During the stop deputies detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of THC and marijuana inside the vehicle. Both individuals were charged with possession of a controlled substance less than 1 g and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Sheriff Clint Hammonds reported several arrests for the month of May beginning with the arrest of Tabby Soto Day 48 years of age from Richland Springs, Texas on May 3rd. Soto was arrested on warrants for motion to adjudicate for possession of a dangerous drug and motion to revoke probation for theft by check. Cassandra Freeze 44 years of age from Goldthwaite, Texas was arrested on warrants charging motion to revoke probation theft of property. On May 6th 62-year-old Glenda Watson Campbell of Goldthwaite was bench warranted back to Mills County to stand trial for a felony DWI. On this same date, Martha Dawn Lawhon 26 years old of Goldthwaite was stopped by Mills County deputies for numerous traffic violations. Deputies discovered during the stop that she was in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Lawhon was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, prohibited substance in a correctional facility, and numerous traffic offenses. The passenger in the vehicle, identified as 44-year-old Nelda Juanita Hannon of San Saba, Texas, was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, tampering with evidence and another charge of possession of a controlled substance all of which are felony. On May 7, Mills County deputies responded to a residence 17 miles west of Goldthwaite on FM 574 in regards to an assault that was in progress. Deputies arrived on scene and according to witnesses identified 20-year-old Davante Jaxon Evetts as having been involved in an assault where the victim fled on foot being chased by Evetts. Deputies conducted a security sweep of a residence located on the property in an attempt to find the suspect and/or victim. During this security sweep, deputies discovered narcotics in plain sight inside the residence. At about this same time, the victim came walking up to the house and spoke with deputies stating that Evetts had assaulted him and then pulled a knife on him and threatened to kill him. Deputies began drafting a search warrant for the residence and arrest warrant for Evetts for the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Then at approximately 5:30 AM Evetts approached deputies who advised him that he was under arrest and he fled the scene. Evetts was caught later that day in Brown County after a long and lengthy search. Evetts was charged with evading arrest and detention, possession of methamphetamine over 4 g but less than 200 g and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. On May 11, prior to midnight, deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on US 183 south of Goldthwaite. While on the way to the accident, deputies came across a white male identified as Vincent Anthony Asciutto of Early, Texas walking down the highway. During the interview it was determined he was the one operating the vehicle that had crashed and was intoxicated. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated.

 

After a lengthy investigation by Mills County investigators, 60 year old José Maria Balencia was arrested for three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and eight counts of indecency with a child. Balencia is still being held in the Mills County jail awaiting trial. On May 16 Mills County deputies conducted a traffic stop on 56 year old Valerie Odom Tidwell, during the stop it was discovered that Tidwell was wanted out of Hamilton County, Texas for possession of methamphetamine. Tidwell was placed under arrest and transported to the Mills County jail. On May 22, Mills County deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver on US 84 W. of Goldthwaite. Deputies made contact with the driver as Michel Dieppa Acosta 30 years of age from Austin, Texas. During the stop it was determined that Dieppa Acosta was wanted out of Travis County, Texas for bond forfeiture for the offense of speeding. Dieppa Acosta was placed under arrest and transported the Mills County jail.

Sheriff Clint Hammonds releases names of individuals arrested during a 10 month drug investigation conducted by the Mills County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Hammonds said on May 29, 2019 Charles Christopher Cravens, 45 of Goldthwaite, was arrested on 3 felony warrants stemming from the delivery of dangerous drugs. Mills County deputies conducted undercover buys from Cravens in August, October and November of 2018. On This same date Heather Nicole Hampton 30 years of age of Goldthwaite was arrested on a 3rd degree felony charge of delivery of methamphetamine on September 26, 2018. Approximately 2 days later Mills County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted another buy from Hampton for which she was charged with 1st degree felony delivery of methamphetamine in a drug free zone.

 

On June 5,2019 Antonio Bonilla-Flores 31 years of age of Goldthwaite was arrested on  two 3rd degree felony charges of delivery of marijuana in a drug free zone. Mills County Deputies were able to make purchases from Flores in September and November of 2018. Deputies were granted permission to search his residence and discovered that Flores had numerous fraudulent checks that were being mass produced and distributed through various banks. The Mills County Sheriff’s Office is working in conjunction with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office on this investigation. This investigation when complete will be referred to the United States Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

 

On June 6, 2018 Toby Bosquez, 32 years of age, and John Scott Youngblood, 53, both of Goldthwaite where arrested for 3rd degree felony charges for delivery of marijuana in a drug free zone in May of 2019. Youngblood was arrested at his residence on County Road 112 and consent was granted to search the residence and a vehicle. During the search, Mills County Deputies recovered methamphetamine and firearms from Youngblood. Youngblood’s vehicle was seized during the operation as it was used during the felony offense. Douglas Pat Norton, 48 of Goldthwaite, was arrested on a warrant stemming from a search of his residence in December for Possession of THC wax in a drug free zone a 3rd degree felony.

 

Sheriff Hammonds stated that, 50 year old, Timmy Lee Sims of Mullin currently incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice is being held on 1st degree felony delivery of methamphetamine. Mills County deputies conducted a controlled purchase from Sims in September of 2018.

 

Sheriff Hammonds is requesting the public’s help in finding 32 year old Amber Scheree Sims of Mullin. She is currently wanted for 1st degree felony delivery of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence. Ashton Alaine Sinast, 32 years of age, formerly of Priddy, Texas is also wanted for 1st degree felony delivery of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence as well. In August of 2018 The Mills County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services stating there were allegations of physical abuse at Ms. Sharon’s Daycare owned by 59 year old Sharon Riewe in Goldthwaite. Chief Deputy Chris Green, Investigator Stephanie Brown and CPS Investigator Angel Mascareno began an investigation into the allegations. Through numerous interviews with both current and prior attendees of the daycare along with their parents the investigation revealed that there had in fact been instances of physical abuse. The physical abuse involved child victims ranging in age from 3 years to 8 years old. During the investigation it was revealed there had been other allegations of the same nature that had been investigated by the state in 2007 and 2013. As the investigation went on more families came forward to report what their children had experienced. The case was presented to the Mills County Grand Jury in May 2019. The Grand Jury returned indictments on 13 counts of Injury to a Child, 3rd Degree Felonies. On May 11, 2019 Sharon Riewe turned herself in to the Lampasas Police Department and was booked into the Lampasas County Jail on 13 counts of Injury to a Child. She was later released on bonds totaling $10,000.
