Sheriff's Message

It is my privilege to serve as Sheriff of Mills County. I am honored to lead a team of dedicated, professional deputies, dispatchers, jailers and administrative staff who work daily to protect and serve the place we call home. Our main function and purpose of the Sheriff's Office is to promote public safety and operate a safe and humane correctional facility. We take great pride in serving our community where neighbors help neighbors, and where we rely on each other to uphold the principles of goodness and respect for others.

We appreciate the support of the residents of Mills County and your efforts to assist the Sheriff's Office. Community policing is key to helping the Sheriff's Office maintain safety and protection for all county residents. Of the many issues facing the law enforcement community today, maintaining public trust is our main objective. Our deputies are in a position of trust and responsibility for the community. I believe it is important to continually promote high expectations and a clear mission for the Sheriff's Office. Courage, compassion, teamwork, trustworthiness, justice and service are fundamental values that are cornerstones of responsibile law enforcement.

I will work closely with the Commissioner's Court in maintaining budgets that ensure every dollar spent by the Mills County Sheriff's Office is necessary and will yield results to enhance the safety and security of tax payers. I will work with other local, state and federal entities to build partnerships in a collaborative effort. As a result, we will meet the county's needs and reach our goal of exemplary law enforcement and correctional services for Mills County.

The Sheriff's Office website provides an avenue for the public to submit information or tips to our Office via email to assist with our community policing efforts. If you have a concern or information you would like to share, please submit it to us.

Again, I am honored to serve as the Sheriff and appreciate your support.

Sheriff Anthony R. Pool
