LIVESTOCK LAWS OF MILLS COUNTY
According to the Livestock Constitution of Mills County;
Livestock that includes Horses, Mules, Jacks, Jennets and Cattle will not be permitted to run at large. It is the responsibility of the owner of the above mentioned livestock to keep the animals fenced in on their property. These animals are subject to being impounded at the owners’ expense and all applicable Estray Laws will be enforced
Livestock including Goats, Sheep and Hogs can be permitted to run at large and it will be the responsibility of the opposing land owner to fence out the above mentioned livestock.
These Mills County Constitutional Livestock Laws are referenced in Vol. 4, Pg. 229 and Vol. 5, Pgs. 299 and 308 of the Mills County Commissioners Court Minutes. These minutes are available for review in the Mills County Clerk’s Office located at the Mills County Court House in Goldthwaite, Texas.
