Cadet Deputy Opportunity

The Mills County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified applicants to sponsor as a Cadet Deputy Sheriff for the upcoming Police Academy at Central Texas College beginning January 11, 2021. Those interested will be required to fill out a preliminary application for employment and pass a TCOLE criminal background check, pass a physical fitness test (2000 meters on a Concept II rower at level 5 resistance for time based on your weight, sex and age. You must attain 25% of you V02 max in order to be accepted into the police academy), pass an oral interview board, Fill out a complete Application for Employment and Personal History Statement to include ALL required/applicable documents (Original certified birth certificate, SS Card, HS Diploma/GED, College transcripts/diploma, Driver’s License, DD214), pass a TCOLE medical exam, drug screen and psychological exam. Applications will be accepted until December 4, 2020.
